CleanSweep Client Agreement

1. Introduction

Welcome to CleanSweep! By booking a service through CleanSweep, you (“the Client”) agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Client Agreement. These terms establish the responsibilities and obligations between you and CleanSweep. Please read these terms carefully before scheduling a service.

2. Service Description

CleanSweep provides an online platform that allows you to schedule and book cleaning services from independent cleaners. CleanSweep acts as an intermediary between you and the cleaner, facilitating the booking process, payment, and communication.

3. Client Responsibilities

By using CleanSweep, you agree to the following responsibilities:

  • Accurate Information: You must provide accurate and complete details about the service location, the condition of the space, and any specific cleaning requirements.

  • Access to the Property: You must ensure the cleaner has access to the property at the scheduled time. If access is not provided, you may be charged a cancellation fee as outlined in Section 7.

  • Safety: You must ensure the safety of the cleaner by maintaining a safe, hazard-free environment for the duration of the service.

  • Pets and Children: You are responsible for managing pets or children during the service to ensure the safety and focus of the cleaner.

4. Quality of Service

CleanSweep aims to connect you with professional cleaners who meet high standards. If you are not satisfied with the service, please follow the dispute resolution process outlined in Section 10.

  • Cleanliness Expectations: It is your responsibility to communicate any specific cleaning needs to the cleaner at the time of booking. CleanSweep will facilitate but not guarantee the outcome of individual cleaning services.

  • Additional Requests: Any additional requests made directly to the cleaner (outside of what was agreed upon through the CleanSweep platform) may be subject to additional fees or charges.

5. Payments and Fees

All payments must be made through CleanSweep’s payment processor, currently powered by Stripe. CleanSweep does not accept cash or other forms of payment directly.

  • Service Fees: The total cost of your booking includes the cleaner’s rate and any applicable platform fees. These fees will be displayed clearly during the booking process.

  • Authorization to Charge: By booking a service, you authorize CleanSweep to charge your credit card or chosen payment method for the total amount due at the time of booking.

  • Refunds: CleanSweep offers refunds for cancellations made in accordance with our cancellation policy (see Section 7). In the event of a no-show or service dispute, refunds may be processed in accordance with our dispute resolution process.

6. Service Modifications

  • Changes to the Booking: Any changes to the booking (e.g., time or date changes) must be requested through the platform at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled service. CleanSweep will notify the cleaner of any modifications. If changes are made within less than 24 hours, CleanSweep reserves the right to charge a modification fee.

7. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a service without penalty. If cancellation occurs with less than 24 hours' notice, CleanSweep may charge a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the booking total.

  • Same-Day Cancellations: Cancellations made on the same day of the scheduled service may be charged the full booking amount unless otherwise approved by CleanSweep.

  • No-Show Policy: If the client fails to provide access to the property or is unavailable for the scheduled service, the full service fee will be charged.

8. Damage and Liability

While the cleaners on the CleanSweep platform strive for professionalism, CleanSweep is not responsible for any damage that may occur during a service. Clients are encouraged to discuss any concerns directly with the cleaner before the service begins.

  • Reporting Damage: If damage occurs, you must report it to CleanSweep within 24 hours of the service completion. CleanSweep will facilitate communication between you and the cleaner, but it is the cleaner’s responsibility to resolve the issue.

  • Client Liability: Clients are responsible for ensuring that the property and its contents are safe for cleaning services. CleanSweep is not liable for any damages resulting from hazardous environments.

9. Satisfaction Guarantee

CleanSweep is committed to client satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with the service provided, you may request a re-clean within 48 hours of the service. CleanSweep will coordinate with the cleaner to resolve any concerns.

10. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between the client and the cleaner, CleanSweep encourages open communication between both parties. If the issue cannot be resolved directly, CleanSweep will act as a mediator to facilitate a solution.

  • Formal Complaint Process: Clients may submit a formal complaint through the CleanSweep platform within 48 hours of service completion. CleanSweep will investigate the matter and work toward a fair resolution.

  • Arbitration: In the event that a dispute cannot be resolved through mediation, the client agrees to binding arbitration as a final resolution method, rather than pursuing legal action in court.

11. Termination of Service

CleanSweep reserves the right to terminate your account or restrict access to the platform if you violate any terms of this agreement, including but not limited to failure to provide accurate information, non-payment, or harassment of cleaners.

  • Client Request for Termination: If you wish to terminate your account, you may do so by contacting CleanSweep customer service. However, any outstanding services or fees must still be paid.

12. Client Feedback

After each service, clients are encouraged to provide feedback. This helps ensure the quality of services offered through CleanSweep and helps cleaners improve.

  • Review System: Clients may rate cleaners on the platform, which will influence the cleaner's future bookings. CleanSweep reserves the right to remove defamatory or inappropriate reviews.

13. Modifications to the Client Agreement

CleanSweep reserves the right to modify this agreement at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes to the terms before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after modifications have been made constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing Law

This Client Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Clients agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Texas for any matters arising under this agreement that are not resolved through arbitration.
